BANKING

Banking is a core area of our practice. We assist in documentation relating portfolio sales of private and multinational banks, securities, mortgages, lien, loans (corporate, commercial, and consumer), bonds, guarantees and financial derivatives.
We also assist international banks with the incorporation and registration of branches in India. We also regularly deliver lectures on banking law and practice to Indian and foreign banks operating in India. We have been awarded the “Best Legal Services award to the Housing Finance Sector” by the Accommodation Times, and have been honoured by the Debt Recovery Tribunal and DRAT Bar at Mumbai for having handled the highest number of cases in a decade.

Our Banking Department has published the following two books:

• Commentaries on The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, along with useful Appendices, published in September, 2007 (Publishers Alia Law Agency Allahabad, 
  Lucknow).
