  • Representation of clients before Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts; Labour Courts; Company Law Board, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity; State Electricity Regulatory Commissions; National & State Commissions and District Consumer Forums; Supreme Court’s Central Empowered Committee on Environment; Estate Officer; Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT); CEGAT; FERA Tribunal; Arbitral Tribunals.
     

  • The firm has various reported judgments to its credit, including the landmark case Air India Cabin Crew Association vs. Yeshawinee Merchant, in which the Supreme Court upheld the Air India policy of differential flying ages for male and female cabin crew members.
     

  • Mr. M.V. Kini, the founder member of the firm, was appointed as the Special Prosecutor for the prosecution of striking Air Traffic Controllers of the Airports Authority of India at Mumbai.
     

  • Represented the Airports Authority of India before the Supreme Court in the matter of selection of Bidder for development of IGI Airport, New Delhi.
     

  • Represented its various clients engaged in the field of generation/distribution of electricity before State Electricity Commission, Appellate Electricity Tribunal as well as before the Supreme Court in respect of disputes arising under the Electricity Act, 2003. Recently, the Firm has represented BEST before the Supreme Court. The matter was adjudicated vide reported judgment dated 06.05.2009 upholding the contentions raised on behalf of our Client and approving the Power Purchase Agreement entered into between BEST and TATA. A cost of Rs. 1 lakh was also awarded to our Client.
     

  • Associated with various Foreign Law Firms and is handling various cases on behalf of their Clients which include reputed International Airlines.
     

  • Represented Airports Authority of India in the High Court at Bombay in the matter of Juhu Beach Beautification Scheme, monitored by the High Court, Bombay as well as Beautification Committee appointed by the High Court, Bombay.
     

  • Represented O General/ETA Engineering, air-conditioner manufacturing Company in the High Court of Bombay on the issue of Weights & Measures and have got the attachment raised in respect of about 500 air conditioners.
     

  • Represented hoteliers of Mahabaleshwar in the High Court at Bombay on the issue of environment/DC Regulations and succeeded in getting approval for continuation of Hotels at Mahabaleshwar Hills.
     

  • Representing estate matters of Bollywood stars in the High Court at Bombay.
     

  • Representing tender matters of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited where the claims of Shapoorji and Pallonji & Co., Limited was rejected by the High Court. The tender is of over Rs. 5000 Crores.
     

  • Representing BEST in the Bombay High Court in the matter of tender on hoardings as well as issue of blacklisting, wherein, the High Court upheld the decision of the BEST Undertaking.
     

  • Represented Airports Authority of India in the Revenue Court as well as High Court at Bombay in respect of over 2 Lacs sq. metres of Non-Agricultural land and got the various private claims rejected and land possession was restored to Airports Authority.
     

  • Represented Air India in the High Court of Bombay on the issue of Strike/boycott called by the Pilots on account of SAARS epidemic and the High Court was pleased to reject the claims of the Pilots.
     

  • Represented BEST in the High Court, Bombay on mass strike called by the BEST employees (Transport Division) preventing the BEST Undertaking from plying the buses and the strike was declared illegal.
     

  • Represented State Bank of India in the matter of Secured Creditors and Sec. 391/456 of the Companies Act, with reference to Shreeniwas Cotton Mills and its properties of the value of over Rs. 1000 Crores.
     

  • Represented the Consortium Banks (Lead Bank being Bank of Baroda) in the High Court at Bombay in the matter of winding up of KMA Limited and distribution of assets worth Rs. 100 Crores between the Secured Creditors.
     

  • Represented Mumbai Port Trust in the High Court at Bombay on the issues of TAMP, Vessel Classification, Container Dye Stuffing and Customs related issues.
